Petition for E4/Channel 4 to axe Alexander Henry’s scenes from MAFS UK due to numerous domestic violence incidents reported

Hi, my name is Georgia and me and other women are doing this petition as we want all Alexander Henry’s scenes in the new series of Married at First sight UK cut, his promotion videos removed from E4/Channel 4 platforms and a statement to be put out by E4/Channel 4 on why they have handled the situation regarding Alexander’s domestic abuse so poorly. 

1. Alexander (Alex) Henry is a domestic abuser. He abused an individual who is close to me for multiple years during their relationship. He bet her black and blue, broke her bones, made her feel scared for her life and separated her from her family and friends. He mentally abused her. He is a horrified individual who is violent. He is a narcissist and egotistical. He physically and emotionally abused my loved one for an extremely long time. She lived in fear for a long time. My loved one thankfully found the strength to leave the abusive situation but the trauma and impact of the physical and emotional abuse will now and forever haunts her and will remain due to all Alexander has done.
2. Furthermore, We saw from E4/Channel 4s promotional content for the new Married at first sight series that Alexander Henry will be appearing on the show ( this is coming out on the 16th of September)
3. From then we began our campaign to spread awareness on his nature and history of violent acts. Since our campaign multiple other women have also found strength and reached out to us about their experiences with Alex. Not only for support, but these women are other victims.
4. We have reached out (messaged them, phones them, tagged them in posts) to e4/channel in order to tell them about Alexander Henry and his behaviour. They have continued to view our messages and ignore us. We have provided them with proof of injuries, screenshots of Alexander admitting to his abuse, and various other screenshots of Alexander's vile messages. Only to be told that they could not do anything as Alexander’s scenes have ‘already been filmed’ and will air as planned despite all evidence they have been sent of violence and abuse.
   E4/Channel 4 have stated that they obtain all records on cast of married at first sight that they are “legally able to obtain” in their background checks. E4/Channel 4 claim that they do rigorous checks however Alexander’s numerous arrests for violence and harassment did not flag in background checks carried out along with his dishonourable dismissal from Alexander’s aviation job due to violence, drug misuse and misconduct.
5. Because of this, we spoke to ‘The Sun’ newspaper and they have published an article on him. Since then, multiple other Newspapers have published articles about Alexander Henry. I will link these below.

The response of E4/channel 4 is a shame to victims of abuse everywhere. They are promoting this kind of behaviour and violence and behaviour. As victims of abuse find it hard to speak out, it takes a lot of courage for people to come forward to discuss situations as serious as this. 

For E4/ channel 4 to dismiss all of the victims that have reached out to them with proof and evidence of abuse is disgraceful and unacceptable. 

In previous seasons of married at first sight, men who were emotionally abuse and narcissistic in nature were cast for the show. George Roberts from the 7th season of MAFS UK was arrested on suspicion of cohesive and controlling behaviour. Following the arrest, charges were dropped. There was another man named Brad skelly from last years season of MAFS, who kicked out of the experiment by the shows producers after concerns were raised over his narcissistic/ controlling and demeaning Behaviour towards experiment wife Shona manderson. 

This shows that the psychological evaluations and checks carried out by e4/channel 4 production are not thorough enough considering that similar situations keep reoccurring within cast members. 

We have done this petition to have Alexander's sciences cut from married at first sight UK, for all promotion videos and pictures to be removed and for e4/ channel 4 to release a statement as to why they have ignored all evidence from victims of Alexander's abuse that reached out personally.
