Dear HCI Management,

We, the parents of students at HCI, are writing to express our concerns regarding several critical issues that we believe are affecting the quality of education and overall experience at the school. Our primary concerns revolve around the academic staffing, classroom facilities, sports coaching, and the recent significant fee increases.
We want to start by reaffirming our commitment to HCI. We chose this school for our children based on positive recommendations, the impressive infrastructure, the conducive learning environment, and its convenient location. HCI has always been more than just a school to us—it is a community that we are deeply invested in, and we want to see it thrive.

However, we have observed a declining trend in several areas that need urgent attention:

This trend raises serious concerns about the recruitment and retention of high-caliber academic staff, which is crucial for maintaining the high educational standards that HCI is known for.

2. Classroom Facilities: The lack of modern educational tools, such as smart boards and e-learning platforms, is another concern. The absence of these resources not only impacts academic success but also hinders the overall development of our children. We strongly urge the school to integrate contemporary educational tools to enhance the learning experience and reduce the burden of heavy school bags.

3. Sports Coaching and Extracurricular Activities: We believe that sports and extracurricular activities are vital for the holistic development of our children. However, the current standard of sports coaching is inadequate, leading many parents to seek private coaching for their children. We also request that greater emphasis be placed on activities like Scouting, which are instrumental in grooming responsible citizens.

4. Fee Increases: The significant fee increases observed this year, ranging from 20% to 50%, have placed a substantial burden on many families, especially those with multiple children enrolled. While we understand the economic challenges the school may face, these increases are far beyond what was previously assured. We respectfully request that the school honors its commitment to keeping fee increases within 10% and reconsider the recent hikes.

As parents, we see ourselves as vital stakeholders in the HCI community, alongside the school management, academic staff, and students. We are committed to working collaboratively with the administration to ensure the continued success and well-being of our school.

To address these issues and restore confidence among parents, we would like to suggest the following:

1. Establish a Teacher Training School (TTS): Creating a TTS within HCI could help address teacher turnover and absenteeism. This would also provide a platform to improve extracurricular activities such as clubs focused on Science, Maths, English, Innovations, and Robotics.

2. Student Development Center: We propose setting up a Student Development Center staffed by volunteered past pupils. This center could play a crucial role in the overall development of our children, offering additional support and guidance.

We hope that these concerns and suggestions will be taken seriously and that we can work together to ensure HCI remains a leading institution for our children’s education.
